Professor Alison Wakelin has a Masters in Astrophysics from Princeton University. She taught Math and Astronomy on the American Army bases in South Korea for the University of Maryland Asian Division through the 1990s. Her two children were born in Korea. After returning to the US, Professor Wakelin has been a Teaching Professor in the Physics and Astronomy Department in Widener University, in Chester PA, until 2024. She also served as the Town Chair of Ardentown, Delaware for three terms.
